How Your Money Helps
From time to time we hear back from some of the charities you have helped us support with stories about how the funds raised have helped. We hope you enjoy reading about the good news below as much as we have.
MAGGIES (Edinburgh Match Benefactor - 2008)
the money raised from yourself went into the general costs of the Edinburgh Centre, it costs between £300,000 and £350,000 to keep the Edinburgh Centre running and when you think on average it costs £24 per visit you have effectively helped over 458 visitors in the Centre! We see on average between 70 and 80 people a day and last year we saw record numbers of over 19,000 visitors so a very much needed support for people effected by cancer and these numbers are growing all the time as more people hear about Maggie's and the work we do but we really could do any of it without support from people like yourself and to raise over £11,000 from one event still blows me away!
